i was reading this article about rss aggregators and bandwidth on scoble's, and i just had to write this: bloglines is the best aggregator ever. not only for the user (can be accessed anyway) but for publishers. how is that? simple enough.
bloglines, like most aggregators, checks feeds once an hour, but it doesn't need to check it for every user. so even if you have 1000 subscribers, you still get 1 request an hour.
that sounds fair enough for me. and robert should thank that, given he has 2901 bloglines subscribers at this exact moment (i'm one of those).
which takes us to the other reason bloggers should encourage the use of bloglines. they can see how many people is reading them from it. for those who complaint about trafic numbers and stuff.
